But what if curiosity could help you see what you're missing?

I had a great opportunity last week to speak at the EY BSS Townhall. Over 80 colleagues from Swiss and Polish offices were there, celebrating their wonderful work. While celebrating, we also talked about something important for these changing times: our mindset.

As we talked, one idea really stood out: simple, powerful curiosity.

Let's be honest, it’s surprisingly tough to step outside our own perspectives, isn't it? We all have our familiar routines and assumptions that can feel like invisible walls, boxing us in 📦. 

It's a challenge I have faced many times in my own career, where the "way I have always done it" can be a comfortable but limiting space.

That's where 'C' for Curiosity comes in – the first step in my C-H-A-N-G-E™ framework. It reminds me to slow down, take a moment, and ask better questions. 

And let me share with you, personally, it has been really important for my own growth and for dealing with change.

I have learned over time that asking good questions is like having a special skill. A few that always help me and others see things in a new light are:

↳ “What am I not seeing?”

↳ “Who could give me a completely different view?”

↳ “If I had a magic wand, what might we try?” 

It's amazing how even one honest answer can change a project or show a new opportunity.
