If you explore future tools early, can you shape a better tomorrow?

 

That question has been on my mind for a while. And then, a real 'pinch-me' moment happened recently when Rev. Dr. Susan Goldsworthy OLY  invited me to a panel discussing AI's future in coaching.

Honestly, starting to use AI in my executive coaching practice felt like a big leap. Here's this powerful technology, and I am in a field built on deep human connection – it was definitely intimidating at first. 🤨

 

You know how it is: you try something new, it doesn’t quite work, you feel a bit silly, but then you try again, maybe a little harder or a little differently.

 

Like many, I began with the 'easier' stuff – automating admin tasks to free up more time for that crucial human connection, figuring things out one step at a time. Some wrong steps too, but you go on, keep exploring.

 

Then came a real 'wow' moment: 𝘐 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘐 𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵. For someone who doesn't come from a tech background, believe me, that felt like a huge win!

 

It really made me wonder:  what is 𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘭𝘺 human in our work, especially in coaching where the bond is so fundamental? And how might that core human value shift or be amplified in the next 2, 3, 5, even 10 years?

 

It makes you question how long our current beliefs about what 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 humans can do will hold true.

 

That’s why this upcoming discussion with Rev. Dr. Susan Goldsworthy OLY  Dr. Mo Razaghi Carly Jenner feels so important. We need these conversations!
