How do you turn ideas into reality?

Last week, I was happy to be in Paris for EY's SAGE workshop, where we focused on adding value to our clients and people during next year's CSRD audit projects across the EMEIA region.  

I even got to facilitate a session on "Unlocking Efficiency" using the Scan-Focus-Act magic—talk about a power-packed few days!

We've all been there, right? A brainstorming session full of amazing ideas, sticky notes cover every surface... and then what?  

It can be overwhelming to go through that mountain of input and figure out which ideas will truly make a difference.  

Even worse, sometimes those brilliant ideas just get lost in the shuffle. Without someone taking ownership, they slowly fade and never see the light of day. 

And let's be honest, in a room full of experts, it's easy to get caught up in sharing our own perspectives (we all want to shine, after all!). But who's going to take those pieces and build them into a real solution?

I am a true believer of "better together". In our "Unlocking Efficiency" session, we used a structured approach to gather everyone's ideas, prioritize them, and identify the ones with the biggest impact. 

We made sure everyone felt heard, aligned in the direction, and accountable for the actions.  It was all about building solutions collaboratively, piece by piece.

Is the process perfect?  Of course not! But we're committed to avoiding "paralysis by analysis."  

We're taking action on the quick wins now and setting up clear plans for the bigger projects to make sure we stay aligned and deliver real value for our clients and our teams.

I loved this experience, and I loved the power of collaborative action.  It's not just about generating ideas; it's about working together to bring those ideas to life and create lasting impact.  I'm excited to see what we accomplish together in the coming year!
