Why I Left My All-In-One Platform for Claude Fable

24 Aug 2026

Software is not dead. But the all-in-one platform is.

Software is not dead. But the all-in-one platform is.

For two years, one of them ran everything for me. Kajabi, an all-in-one creator platform hosted my newsletter, my list, my landing pages, my course. Convenient. And nearly $2,000 a year.

I just left it.

With the new AI model of Claude, Fable 5, I put it up for a test. Find a much cheaper solution without compromising quality.

The newsletter and list now sit on a smaller tool that does that one job well. The rest, the course site that takes payments, the archive, all of it, I built with Claude Fable 5. No developer.

I am not a techie. I said what I wanted. It built it.

Cheaper, and it does only what I need. And I have a super tailor made solution.

One-stop-shop is what used to make us pay premium. Not having to stitch the tools together ourselves. That was the hard part. But now, AI made it cheap.

So the value moves. Off the platform that does hundreds of (unused) things. Onto the one tool that does its job well. Plus an AI that builds the rest.

It's been a month now and it works perfectly, for 1/5 of the price.

Claude Fable built everything. I only did the description part, and that was the hardest part. You still need a human to do that: what is important, what is good enough, what is optional. Claude did not know that. I did.

What would you rebuild?

Want to think through what AI genuinely changes in how you run your own work, and where you still need to decide? My Private AI Advisory is here.

What I actually needed a human for

Claude Fable built the site. Deciding what belonged on it was my job, and it turned out to be the harder half of the work.

Every leader I coach who is experimenting with AI hits the same wall eventually. The tool will build almost anything you describe well, but it cannot tell you what is worth building, what a client actually needs to see first, or when good enough is genuinely good enough. That judgment comes from having done the job long enough to know what matters and what is noise.

This is the part of AI adoption that gets skipped in most companies. Leaders roll out a tool and expect people to know instantly what to ask for, but that instinct takes practice, and it takes someone senior enough to say what a good outcome actually looks like.

If this resonates and you want a practical guide, I have a free AI Tools & Tips Guide that walks through the tools I use as a coach and business owner, and where I draw the line between what I hand to AI and what I do myself.
