What change do YOU want to see?

Last week, we had everyday magic. Our #OpenDoorInnovation community, which Dr. Gitanjali Ponnappa and I started online a year ago, finally met in person! 🎉  

It all began with a simple idea – a space for corporate innovators globally to connect and share, just like those in the startup world.  Thanks to Andreea Stanescu, one of our amazing member, gave us the final nudge to meet offline.

Unlike startups, corporate innovators often lack platforms to connect globally.  Confidentiality concerns and the lack of dedicated ecosystems can make it tough to build trelationships.  

We also realized that innovation is a HUGE field.  Navigating the variety of job titles can leave anyone feeling lost. 

So we asked ourselves: How can we change this and create meaningful connections? 

The answer was simple: a non-profit initiative focused on global connection and knowledge sharing.  And because we believe in lifting each other up, #OpenDoorInnovation also supports people looking for their dream job in this field. Many of our members generously offer their time to provide career advice and insights.

Ideas are powerful, but action brings them to life. #OpenDoorInnovation grew from a simple concept into a support network because of the community.  

Sometimes, if you can't find the opportunity you're looking for, you have to create it yourself and shape the change. That's what we did. One connection at a time.
