Is teamwork truly the dream work?

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to visit our EY teams in India. I was there as Assurance Operations Accelerator Leader of the Europe West region and to guide the transformation of our Sustainability Assurance teams. As in previous years, I aligned my trip with leaders from our Nordics and Financial Services regions.

With our packed schedules, it would be easy to focus only on our areas and rush in and out. But we made a conscious decision to align our visit, run workshops together, and conduct joint training sessions. This required preparation and a deep understanding of each other's regional operations.

In global organizations, priorities differ significantly. To move forward together, we had to truly listen to one another.

I believe in the power of being better together. By aligning across regions, we all gain clearer focus and learn from each other's experiences. And by coordinating our agendas, we reduce the time required from our Indian colleagues.

Together, we are stronger and more effective. I’m proud of the relationships we’ve built over the years. We see the impact every day.

I believe in collaborative leadership. I wouldn’t know how else to operate successfully in today’s interconnected world.
