Ready to celebrate a win with me?

Over the past six months, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring Ayça Kavas, a young engineer. Thanks to EY and the University of St. Gallen’s Aiming Higher - Women’s Leadership Programme, we spent our meetings talking about work, career goals, and finding her voice in a male-dominated industry.

I know what that feels like. When I entered the energy industry, I didn’t quite fit in either.

Early on, I battled imposter syndrome and felt like I didn’t belong. It took time to find my voice and confidence, and I’m proud to see my mentee doing the same.

She is now stepping into a new role she has worked hard for. It’s a testament to her talent and determination. Seeing her grow stronger has been incredibly rewarding.

And mentoring her has also been a gift for me. It reminded me how much we learn from each other and deepened my passion to support more women succeed.

I can’t wait to see what Ayça accomplishes next.
