Guilty if you work? Guilty if you don't?
Guilty if you work? Guilty if you don't?
Why is it so hard to truly disconnect?
School holidays aren't something I can choose myself 🤓
So, here I am, working from a co-working space during my break.
The views are amazing, work is flowing, but a little voice keeps whispering about guilt. It's that nagging feeling of not being in full "vacation mode."
It's also the worry that things might slip if I'm completely disconnected.
Normally, I would delegate, but this time, it was not an option.
It made me a bit anxious to even tell friends and family I would be working. We all know that feeling of judgment – the unspoken "shouldn't you be relaxing?"
But I have learnt that flexibility is key and I am grateful for having it.
It's about prioritizing and setting boundaries.
I thrive when things are in motion. For me, it's not all or nothing. You can relax and recharge while still keeping the important balls in the air.
The key was setting clear boundaries. Dedicating specific blocks of time for "work" and "vacation" dramatically reduced my stress and boosted my productivity.
It's amazing how much more focused you become when you know you have dedicated time for each.
Plus, there's an unexpected bonus. Stepping away from my usual workspace brings fresh ideas and a good dose of motivation.
PS: The view I'm enjoying while working → you don't have to sacrifice relaxation for productivity. Grazie @Mottolino Livigno
