Do you believe in the power of second chances?

We all have a story.

Mine started in Switzerland eighteen years ago. This great country gave me a chance to build a life I am grateful for—with a career, a family, and a great deal of private and professional network.

But it wasn't always the case.

Eighteen years ago, I landed in Switzerland with two suitcases and a dream—a dream to build a life, to find my place.

Some years later, I faced a restructuring and had to find a new role. At the beginning of my career, this wasn't an easy challenge!

Starting out in a new country, I learned how important it is to have people who support you. Having these people in my life in tough times has been invaluable, giving me guidance and encouragement when I needed it most.

And my story is just one of many. I know that so many others are overcoming similar challenges, which is why I immediately said yes to be a panelist at Capacity's "Access Fast Track" workshop on building a professional network.

The Capacity team does an amazing job in helping highly skilled people who have come to Switzerland with a refugee or migrant background find jobs and build new lives. I was so impressed by the energy and determination of the participants—we had great discussions and good laughs. Thank you so much for having me last week in Zürich!

We all need support on our journey. It felt amazing to pay it forward and contribute to a program that makes a real difference in people's lives and strengthens our community.
