How do you bounce back from a low point together?

How do you bounce back from a low point together?

Just a little while ago, my team faced this exact moment. There were four of us, in one room, getting ready for a big workshop happening bright and early the next morning. Our main tool, a digital board, was… well, let's just say it was missing almost everything we needed.

We didn't spend time figuring out how we got there.

We had planned a focused session, not an all-night nitty-gritty building project. But here we were, hours before the event, looking at big empty spaces that only we could fill.

There was no one else around to help at that hour. It was just us. The clock was ticking, and the feeling of being frustrated and overwhelmed started to set in.

That's when something shifted.

Laptops were pulled closer, sleeves were rolled up. We started breaking down the huge job, sharing ideas, telling a few tired jokes, and just working, side-by-side, piece by piece, determined to somehow make it right.

Hours later, bit by bit, it started to take a shape. A final click, the last change and ready.
We took a picture just before the start - after a short night and ahead of long two days. When the workshop participants arrived, they saw a smooth, well-prepared board – they didn't know about the intense work that happened late into the night.

Beyond just finishing the board, that night showed us the true strength of a team. We learned firsthand that even facing a low point, focusing on our shared goal helped us rally and get things done.

That night gave us lasting confidence in our team's ability to face anything together. It travels with us into every new challenge to come.

That's what a real team gives you. And I am grateful for having you through thick and thin 💛
