Everyone thinks global collaboration is easy, but 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 requires more.

Just wrapped up our annual transformation workshop in our EY office in Gurgaon, India, and it was fantastic! We had our Indian and European leaders all in one room, talking strategy and really shaping what's next for us.

Talking isn't enough, we will also do it. It's our job to make our delivery model work smoothly across different countries and cultures, which is a pretty exciting challenge.

You know what I love most? It's when we start swapping ideas about how we solve similar problems and drawing benefits together.

I have said that many times: working across cultures isn't always a breeze. We all have our own ways of understanding things, how we like to communicate, and our work habits.

On top of this, Europe, for example, might look small on a map, but trust me, it's super diverse when you're actually working with different teams there. The cool thing is, just talking about these differences and sharing our experiences often makes a huge difference.

Think about it – if everyone just stayed in their own corner, trying to figure everything out from scratch, we wouldn't get very far, right?

But when we actually share what we are struggling with and the solutions we have found, that's where the real magic happens. Or when we decide to go for a solution together, everyone aligned. We have seen some great examples of this already, and it's always a win-win when we can pick up best practices from each other.

The best part of such workshops is that we get to meet the teams in groups and 1:1 discussions. Look at the great team gathering for our leadership townhall!

I am really looking forward to the next time we get to connect and exchange ideas.

How do you work with teams across the globe?
