Bridges, not walls: shaping the future with confidence.

I am at a workshop at our EY office in Frankfurt, an important one for the European and Global Assurance Transformation teams. We are here, quite simply, to build tomorrow, tackling the huge task of transforming how we deliver across the globe.

It's fascinating, but it's not always smooth sailing.

We have different time zones, different ways of working.
Sometimes, it's like ttrying to navigate a maze where everyone has a slightly different map, and they're all convinced theirs is the right one.

If you are not well connected, it turns out teams on opposite sides of the planet often run into the same roadblocks, yet they're dealing with them separately.

If everyone stays at home and constantly reinvents the wheel, there is no progress.

The real magic happens when we share. We put our heads together, talk about the problems we're facing, and share the solutions we've found.

That's where innovation sparks.

We realized that many of the problems are common, and by sharing our best practices, we can learn from each other and move forward faster.

I am excited for the next opportunity to meet. It's a great feeling that even in a big, global firm, we are all connected. And we are building bridges, not walls.
