Are you "AI first", or just "AI faster"?
Are you "AI first", or just "AI faster"?
I've been talking to several leaders recently who face with this exact question. They know AI is transformative, but they think about it as just another tool to add to their existing processes.
Let me be honest, I fell into this trap early on too. ๐คจ
When I first started integrating AI into my executive coaching practice, I approached it like I would any new softwareโsomething to make my current workflow faster. But that's thinking "AI second," not "AI first."
๐I add my ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐ผ๐น๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ๐ฝ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ - it's free, tried and tested.
So, here is what I have learned through my own journey.
๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ means flipping the entire conversation:
โณ Instead of "How can I prepare a better weekly/monthly analysis with AI?"
โ Ask "How can I continously get insights, real time?"
โณ Instead of "How can AI improve my proposal writing page by page?"
โ Ask "How can AI do deep into research and craft the whole proposal from scratch?"
โณ Instead of "How can AI handle small tasks like fixing emails or generating answers?"
โ Ask "How can AI become my real-time thinking partner?"
It's like the difference between adding a turbo engine to a horse cart versus designing a car from scratch. Both get you places faster, but only one transforms the entire experience.
Many of us who embrace this shift aren't just more efficientโwe arediscovering opportunities that weren't visible before. Asking better questions, making connections across data that seemed impossible means also having more fun and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, as many of our roles get more and more complex.
That "wow" moment when you realize AI isn't replacing your thinking but amplifying it? That's when the real change begins.
So, my question to you is: Are you thinking AI first, or just AI faster?
